Lincolnview Local Schools and Westwood Behavioral Center team up

December 6, 2019

Dear Lincolnview Students & Parents:

It is my pleasure to inform you that a new and exciting partnership has been created to meet the mental health needs of our students here at Lincolnview Local Schools.  The Lincolnview Local Schools and Westwood Behavioral Center of Van Wert recently signed a 1-year agreement to bring behavioral/mental health services for “2” days a week for “4” hours a day to all Lancer students.  The services include the following: diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, crisis management, and professional consultation & behavioral health education for students and staff.  There will be no cost to the district. Westwood Behavioral Center will be the primary caregiver of these services and will work with each parent if there is a cost associated with a specific service.  Westwood Behavioral Center prides itself on limiting outside costs to a minimal amount, if not zero for students and parents.  Reminder, the services being provided are directly through Westwood Behavioral Center and not through Lincolnview Local Schools (with parental consent required first).  The Lincolnview Local Schools are very excited for this new partnership and meeting the mental health needs of our students. Please see the handout that is also provided with more information regarding the program.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey T. Snyder                                                                     Mark Spieles

Superintendent of Lincolnview Local Schools                        CEO – Westwood Behavioral Health Center
