Ohio Department of Health Reporting and Notification of COVID-19 cases in K-12th grade (September 17, 2020)

Ohio Department of Health Reporting and Notification of COVID-19 cases in K-12th grade:

The Ohio Department of Health has issued a health order encouraging families, requiring schools, and local health departments to report information about positive COVID-19 cases in children. The goals of the order are to provide communities with information to minimize the further transmission of COVID-19 and to allow local health officials to begin timely contact tracing. Parents/guardians are being asked to report to their schools new positive COVID-19 cases for their children enrolled in school, from preschool-aged through grade 12th grade. Districts and schools must notify affected students/parents (in same classroom and building) and their local health departments within 24 hours of learning of student and/or staff cases.

Starting this week the Lincolnview Local Schools will be reporting cumulative COVID-19 data to our Van Wert County Health Department, and thus they will then send our data and the rest of the schools’ data in Van Wert County to the Ohio Department of Health to create a statewide data system for the public to see.  This reporting system will be ongoing throughout the school year. We will be providing at minimum a weekly update, on our school’s website, of our COVID-19 cases here at Lincolnview Local Schools.

United States Department of Agriculture extends "FREE" meals for kids Food picture

LINCOLNVIEW CAFETERIA – “Food Service Update” – UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE EXTENDS “FREE” MEALS FOR KIDS:

Lincolnview Local Schools will “NOW” be offering a free meal during our regular breakfast and lunch serving times to all Lincolnview students starting Monday, Sep. 14th through Tuesday, Dec. 22nd. We are able to offer this service because the USDA is extending waivers from this past spring when schools were closed because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.  This new program will allow the Lincolnview Local Schools to serve free nutritious meals to all children into the fall/winter months.  This unprecedented move from the USDA will help ensure all children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Remote Learning Plan (updated 8-14-2020)

The Lincolnview Local Schools “Remote Learning Plan” is designed as a plan to go to remote learning for all students K-12 in case a future decision is made by the Governor’s order or in conjunction with the Van Wert County Health Department due to Covid-19.  This plan is subject to change throughout the year if we are in remote learning for long extended periods of time. We will continue to reevaluate our plans throughout each month to optimize the best learning experience for our students.

Cafeteria Information (updated 8-27-2020)

DEAR LINCOLNVIEW PARENTS AND STUDENTS (Cafeteria information):

As we begin the 2020/21 school year, the Lincolnview Food Service Department is also trying to do their part to reduce, as much as possible, contact within the cafeteria due to Covid-19.  Therefore, to try to make it a much safer environment, we will be introducing a new touchless system that will allow us to eliminate students touching the keypads at the registers. With this new system we continue to learn new ways on how it works efficiently for parents, so please be patient with us as we introduce this to you and to our students.  As we begin to use it for the very first time there may be times that we will have to give new updates on using the system.
