March 20th

Dear Lincolnview High School Parents,

March 20 will be a busy day at Lincolnview High School.  With busyness, comes excellent opportunity!  I want to give you a rundown of what will be going on at Lincolnview during this day.

Freshman:  Freshman will be leaving school in the morning.  Students will be divided into two groups.  One group will be attending the Delphos Career Connections Student Center (CCSC).  While there, students will explore career pods of their own choosing.  They will learn about opportunities in careers in our area.  For more information about the CCSC visit http://www.delphosccsc.org/ .

The other group will tour Vanamatic and K&M Tire in Delphos.  Students will meet for lunch, then switch with the other group so both groups will experience all destinations.

Sophomores:  At the beginning of the morning, Sophomores will take PRE ACT.  Upon completion of the PRE ACT and lunch, students will board the busses attend two area businesses.  Students will attend Central Insurance and Braun Industries.  All Sophomores will be attending both businesses.

Juniors:  The Juniors will be taking the school administered ACT.  Upon completion, students will eat lunch and attend two area businesses.  Students will attend Federal Mogul and Van Crest (Van Wert).  All Juniors will be attending both businesses.

Seniors:  The seniors will have a few choices for March 20.  They may take a college visit, college placement test, or participate in a local community service project.  For the past several weeks, I have set up opportunities in our community for volunteer experiences.  Students also had the choice to select which volunteer experience in which they would like to participate.  On March 20 we will have Seniors at the Van Wert Parks Department, Council on Aging, Middle Point Ballpark, helping with a mobile food bank at Trinity Friends Church and Life House Church, YWCA, Humane Society, and Habitat for Humanity.  All Seniors will provide their own transportation to the destination, however will be accompanied by a Lincolnview teacher while volunteering.

If you have questions about our day, please feel free to contact me at the school or you can email at bmendenhall@lvlancers.com .

Go Lancers!
