Dear Lincolnview Parents,
Lincolnview Local Schools appreciates your patience and understanding as the new transportation policy starts to unfold and take effect this upcoming school year (2014-15). As we begin this new transition we recognize that there might be some challenges to overcome at first and possibly some tweaks that we will need to make, however our goal for this major change is safety and consistency of schedules for all involved - students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
Reminders on transportation changes:
Consistency for transportation is critical. We are requesting that your child/children have a consistent schedule. The school will not accept daily changes for transportation per phone call or through notes, however we do recognize that emergencies do come up and we will work with you on them as each one presents itself. Overall though, the school will follow your child/children’s consistent transportation schedule.
IF you pick your child up from school you will need to park in the parking lot, and then come into the cafeteria and sign your child/children out before your child/children can leave school building. PLEASE use the form on the Lincolnview web site (under the Transportation tab) to identify individuals that you (parent) will allow to pick up your child/children. This form should be returned by the first day of school 8/20/14 or emailed to (Cindy DuVall - email@example.com or Brenda Eickholt - firstname.lastname@example.org). Until we receive a completed form we will use the emergency medical form from last year as a reference for pick up. If an individual is not on the list, your child will not be released to that individual or any other individual not indicated on the list, again this is a safety improvement for this academic school year for our district.
The school also offers Latchkey services. This service offers a morning and afternoon supervised program at the Lincolnview Elementary School for children. Mrs. Rhonda Longstreth is the person that is in charge of this program and she does an excellent job with the children and they are in a safe environment. The children will need to be signed out of this program and information is available in the elementary office and on the school web site if you are interested in learning more about this program.
We are working very hard to ensure that the safety and well-being of your child/children is a priority and take precaution to safe-guard all of our children at Lincolnview. Thank-You for your patience and willingness to work with us as we continue to work together to reach this goal. If you have any questions please contact Cindy DuVall in the transportation office at (419)-968-2351.
