Buckeye Boys State applications are due January 31st   

SENIORS: For those students going on the Senior Class trip, there will be an informational meeting for parents and students tonight, Monday, Jan. 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the lecture hall. Please plan on attending.  

This week is our Rivals United week, with various fundraisers planned to help raise money for the United Way AND to keep your Student Council from having to sing Crestview’s fight song!! Student council will also be selling basketballs so that we can begin building the “Road to Victory”. We will be competing against the elementary to see who makes it to the gym first. Basketballs will be sold 2 for $1.00. Let’s make sure your Student council doesn’t have to sing at the Crestview boys game this Friday!!  

Science Club will have a meeting in Mr. Byrum's room today during LT.  

The Varsity boys & girls High School bowling teams each fell to the Kenton Wildcats last night at Hillcrest Lanes in Kenton. 
High for the boys were Brad Korte with a two-game set of 376 & Noah Daeger with a two-game set of 330. High for the girls were Alicia Rist with a two-game set of 321 & Zania Hasty with a two-game set of 269.

Good luck to the boys & girls teams at the "D2 Preview" tournament tomorrow in Columbus. 

Luke Bullinger went 2-3 over the weekend and earned 6th place at the invitational. 

The College Credit Plus meeting will be held Wednesday at the PAC at Van Wert High School.  If you plan to participate in College Credit Plus next year, you need to attend.  The meeting will begin at 6:00 with a large group meeting and then we will break into school meetings.  Area colleges will be there to talk to about their programs. 

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Bowling Team for finishing in the top 5 and Zania Hasty for finishing 8th individually in the first annual D2 Preview Tournament held at HP Lanes in Columbus this past Saturday. Good luck to the Boys and Girls Varsity and JV teams tonight against Van Wert. The match starts at 4 o’clock at Olympic Lanes.

Monday will be Pajama Day. You will be asked to pay $1.00 to wear your pajamas! Student council will also be selling basketballs so that we can begin building the “Road to Victory”. Junior high girls and boys who are interested in participating in track and field this spring can sign up in the high school office:  If you have not already participated in a Lincolnview sport, you must pick up a physical form in the office and have it turned back in by February 24th.  You cannot participate with the team in practice until you have your physical completed and turned in!     

National Honor Society Members are reminded to sign up for the cake raffle fundraiser to be held at this Saturday’s basketball game.  Sign up sheets for donations and working are located in the office.

Pre-sale tickets for Friday and Saturday’s home boys’ basketball games will be on sale Thursday and Friday in the high school office.  

The following sophomores need to clean up the gym on Friday after the Columbus Grove game: Shayna Keipper, McKenzie Sealscott, Alicia Rist, Rachel Hertel, Maria Sarver, Kylee Mongold. 

Also after the home game this Saturday against Antwerp the following sophomores will need to help clean the gym: Levi McMaster, Zane Miller, Kyle Wallis, Brayden Evans, Reece Farmer, Jared Pollock. 

The following sophomores need to take care of registering for the vantage field trip TODAY!  See Mrs. Leeth or Mrs. Knodell if you don’t know how to register:  Jacob Keysor, Conner Menke, Josh Oberlitner and Lisa Dewald.

Buckeye Boys State applications are now available for Junior Boys.  If you are interested, please stop by Mrs. Leeth’s office to pick one up.  Deadline is January 31st.  

Today all 7th grade girls will report to the lecture hall during LT.

Beta Club Members interested in helping with the Special Olympics basketball skills competition on Feb 12th at Lincolnview Elementary gym, can sign up on Mrs. Leeth door.  You should arrive at 12:45.  They need up to 20 volunteers. 

There will be a Beta Club officer meeting on Thursday, Jan. 19th in the high school office. 

       Senator Portman has been offered the opportunity to nominate a Senate Page for Summer 2017 – Session 1, which would run from June 12, 2017 – June 30, 2017.  The application deadline is February 27, 2017. Senate pages served as messengers and general helpers. ... Senate page duties consist primarily of delivery of correspondence and legislative material within the Congressional complex. Other duties include preparing the chamber for Senate sessions, and carrying bills and amendments to the desk.Senate Pages must be sponsored by a Senator. Pages must be citizens of the United States or subject to agreements of the Department of State, and must have a social security number. Summer Page eligibility is limited to students who have completed the sophomore year and who will be 16 or 17 years old on or before the date of appointment. Pages must verify a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a home school transcript and a certification of immunization to qualify for attendance at the school.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Leeth.

Sylvan learning center in Lima will be sponsoring a free practice ACT test on Saturday , February 4. After the test you will get a personal evaluation of performance along with suggestions on how to improve test scores.  Visit their website in order to register for the event.
