Buckeye Boys State applications are now available for Junior Boys.  If you are interested, please stop by Mrs. Leeth’s office to pick one up.  Deadline is January 31st.  

Today all 7th grade girls will report to the lecture hall during LT.  

Junior high girls and boys who are interested in participating in track and field this spring can sign up in the high school office:  If you have not already participated in a Lincolnview sport, you must pick up a physical form in the office and have it turned back in by February 24th.  You cannot participate with the team in practice until you have your physical completed and turned in! 

Beta Club Members interested in helping with the Special Olympics basketball skills competition on Feb 12th at Lincolnview Elementary gym, can sign up on Mrs. Leeth door.  You should arrive at 12:45.  They need up to 20 volunteers. 

There will be a Beta Club officer meeting on Thursday, Jan. 19th in the high school office. 

       Senator Portman has been offered the opportunity to nominate a Senate Page for Summer 2017 – Session 1, which would run from June 12, 2017 – June 30, 2017.  The application deadline is February 27, 2017. Senate pages served as messengers and general helpers. ... Senate page duties consist primarily of delivery of correspondence and legislative material within the Congressional complex. Other duties include preparing the chamber for Senate sessions, and carrying bills and amendments to the desk.Senate Pages must be sponsored by a Senator. Pages must be citizens of the United States or subject to agreements of the Department of State, and must have a social security number. Summer Page eligibility is limited to students who have completed the sophomore year and who will be 16 or 17 years old on or before the date of appointment. Pages must verify a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a home school transcript and a certification of immunization to qualify for attendance at the school.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Leeth. 

National Honor Society Members are reminded to sign up for the cake raffle fundraiser to be held at this Saturday’s basketball game.  Sign up sheets for donations and working are located in the office. 

Sylvan learning center in Lima will be sponsoring a free practice ACT test on Saturday , February 4. After the test you will get a personal evaluation of performance along with suggestions on how to improve test scores.  Visit their website in order to register for the event. 

The following sophomores need to fill out the form for the Vantage field trip:  Jacob Keysor, Elliott Lloyd, Conner Menke, Josh Oberlitner, Raegan, Lisa Deward and Abby Myers.  If you do not know how to login to complete this, please see Mrs. Leeth or Mrs. Knodell. 

Seniors: For those students going on the Senior Class trip, there will be an informational meeting for parents and students on Monday, Jan. 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the lecture hall. Please plan on attending. 

Student Council needs to meet today in the high school library.

Pre-sale tickets for Friday and Saturday’s home boys’ basketball games will be on sale Thursday and Friday in the high school office.

There will be a Spanish Club meeting today during Lancer Time, in Mrs. Doner's room for officers only.  

Friday is the last day to sign up for the February ACT Test.  Van Wert is NOT a test site for the February test. 

The Optimist Club of Van Wert wants to inform you about its annual Oratorical Contest for students to be held Sunday, February 19, 2017. The topic this year is “What the World Gains from Optimism.” Students’ speeches will be judged based on content and presentation to determine the top boy and girl winners. First-place winners will receive a $300 prize and advance to the zone or regional level, and possibly the district level for the opportunity to win scholarships.  The Oratorical Contest will be held at Community Health Professionals, 1159 Westwood Dr., Van Wert. Applications are due Feb. 10.  Applications are available from Mrs. Leeth.  

Today Thursday the following clubs will have their pictures taken for the yearbook during lancer time: Student council, Scholastic Bowl, HS FCA. You will be called down at the appropriate time.  

It was decided today that the United Way – Rivals United t-shirts WILL count towards our competition with Crestview, so we need everyone to buy a t-shirt. Just to give you an update – Lincolnview has sold more t-shirts than Crestview right now please remember that Friday, January 13th is the LAST day for you to turn in your order form for the United Way – Rivals United t-shirts. . Keep up the good work. Let’s make a big push through Friday!!

Tickets for the boys” JV/V game at Bluffton and for the boys’ home game vs. Miller City will be on sale Thursday and Friday in the high school office.

Attention Seniors!  You are invited to attend International Business college Scholarship Day on Saturday, Jan. 21st.  Two morning events will take place.  You can test at either 9 or 11:15.  No pre-registration is required.  Just plan to attend on the 21st at one of the designated times.  

The following sophomores will be need to help clean up the gym on Sat. Jan 14 after the Miller City game:   Brayden Langdon, Gabrielle Perkins, Erin Miller, Lakin Brant, Carly Wendel, Morgan Miller.
