Announcements:

There will be a College Credit Plus Meeting for students interested in College Credit Plus for next school year. It is a mandatory meeting for new participants. It will be held at The Performing Arts Center at Van Wert High School on Wednesday, February 13th at 6:00 PM. There will be a general information session, a school specific information session and area colleges will be in attendance to answer questions.  If you plan to take part in College Credit Plus, you don’t want to miss this meeting. Very important information will be made available.

There will be a senior class meeting on Thursday, January 10 at 7:30 a.m. This meeting is for any senior interested in going on the class trip. We will be going over the final itinerary and approximate cost of the trip.

There will be a veterinary exploration conference in Columbus on February 23rd.  You will learn about the wide array of careers in the veterinary field, hear directly from current students on what vet school is like,  met representatives from different colleges and more. Registration is only $10 for students and $20 for the Parent workshop. See the poster by the drinking fountain on where to register.

Last night the Junior High girls basketball team played Wayne Trace. The 7th grade won 31-10. The 8th grade also won 27-19. Leading rebounder for the 8th grade was Carsyn Looser with 9, followed by Annie Renner with 6. Leading the team with assists was McKayla Jackman with 4, followed by Breck Evans with 3. The Junior High girls will travel to LCC on Saturday, Dec. 1st for their next game.

Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to participate in the Voice of Democracy contest.  This year the topic is “Why my vote matters.”  Prizes and scholarships can be awarded at the post, district, state and national level for your 3-5 minute speech.  For an applications and rules, see your English or Social Studies Teacher.

The First United Methodist Church Kids Against Hunger packing event will take place on Saturday, October 6.  As in past years, we will be packing from 9:00 until 11:00 on Saturday morning,. The location remains the Van Wert City School's Goedde Building on Crawford St. in Van Wert, and packers should arrive at 8:45.  The organization has changed its name fromKids Against Hunger to Project 216.  Project 216 is an organization that provides meals to undernourished children around the world including the U.S. We plan to pack 23,000 meals on October 6; thus, we will needs lots of man-power.  They need to know how many people to expect, so if you would like to volunteers, please sign up on the back door of the office.  Anyone can help, but please sign up so they can prepare for the event.

Middle Point – Lincolnview Local Schools will be holding its annual “Open House” on Thursday, August 16th from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.  This evening serves as an open house for parents and students K-12 to visit their classrooms, meet their teachers, and bring their supplies to the school.

March 20 will be a busy day at Lincolnview High School.  With busyness, comes excellent opportunity!  I want to give you a rundown of what will be going on at Lincolnview during this day.

1962 State Baseball Champions 1962 State Baseball team

The Lincolnview Local Schools will be celebrating the "55th" anniversary of the 1962 State Baseball Championship team (see attachment - picture) this coming Saturday, December 16th, 2018 in between the JV & Varsity Boys Basketball game against Wayne Trace HS.  All Lancer fans and community members are welcome to attend & see these Lancer baseball champions.  The game will begin at 6pm with the ceremony occurring around 7pm.

Lincolnview Local Schools is proud to announce a special Veterans Day Celebration to be held on Friday, November 9, 2018.  We would like to honor the Veterans of our Lincolnview student body and staff.  We are very proud of the men and women who are bravely serving or have served our country.  For this reason, we would like to honor them by announcing their name, branch, and family member(s) with whom they are attending in our High School Gymnasium.  Lincolnview would also like to pay tribute to those who have served that are no longer with us by reading their names in a special memorial portion of the program.

The University of Saint Francis will be here on Thursday.  St. Francis is a liberal arts university located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. Affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church.  St. Francis has an enrollment of 2,300 students in majors ranging from the liberal arts, to the creative arts, to the health sciences.
