Congratulations to Lincolnview sophomore Ryanne Ducheney for winning 1st place in this year's YAM Flag Contest for grades 9-12 throughout all of Ohio. To promote Youth Art Month, the Council for Art Education Coordinates Youth Art Month activities at the national level.  The primary event is the State Flag Program.  Each state coordinates a flag design contest, with the winning design made into a flag for display in the Youth Art Month Museum at the National Art Education Association Convention in March.  The 2014/2015 national theme is "Art Builds Bridges."

Blue Creek Wind Farm Pays another $2.7M to Van Wert and Paulding Schools and Community

Second year of annual payments benefits counties, towns and schools

VAN WERT, Ohio – Iberdrola Renewables, the owner and operator of the Blue Creek Wind Farm, along with State Senator Cliff Hite and State Representative Tony Burkley, today presented checks at multiple ceremonies to local officials in both Van Wert and Paulding counties to commemorate the second annual PILOT payments the Blue Creek Wind Farm will make to the community.

Van Wert County, with 115 turbines, will receive more than $2,070,000, an amount that will make the wind farm the largest single taxpayer in the county. Paulding County will receive $666,000, based on the 37 turbines located in the county that each pay $18,000 per year. Since the payments will be made in two equal installments this year, the checks presented today were for half those amounts.

This planning process will include four meetings that will last four hours in length and refreshments will be provided.  Anyone in the Lincolnview community is invited to participate on this Strategic Planning Committee.

The Core Team meetings will be held in the Neubrecht Lecture Hall (High School) in the evenings from 6 - 10 P.M. with dinner being provided: The dates of the sessions are:
Core Team Session #1 – Thursday, February 26:  Core Team Session #2 – Monday, March 9:  Core Team Session #3 – Monday, March 30: &  Core Team Session #4 – Wednesday, April 8.

On behalf of the entire Board of Education, we would like to invite you to become a member of the Strategic Planning Core Team. As a Core Team member, you will be actively involved in all phases of the Strategic Planning Process.
